Larry Polstra graduated from Bob Jones University in January, 1968 with a B.S. degree in Business Management. In March, 1968, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp to serve our country in the Vietnam war. As a captain in the corps, he was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with three stars, and the Reserve Medal. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in June 1971, and was active in the Reserves until 1981.

Mr. Polstra worked in the insurance industry for several years while enrolled in law school. He graduated from the Atlanta Law School in 1976, and received his L.L.M. in 1977. He is a certified Arbitrator with the Fulton County Superior Courts. Mr. Polstra is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Marine Corp Association of Georgia Lawyers. He is licensed to appear in all of the Courts of Georgia. He is authorized to appear before the United States Supreme Court.
